Symantec Data Loss Prevention Cloud Service for Email Implementation Guide gives instructions on how to set up Cloud Service for Email with an Enforce Server administration console and either on-premises Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online, or Google G Suite Gmail.
The latest version of this guide, dated 15 April 2019, applies to using Cloud Service for Email with Symantec Data Loss Prevention version 14.6 MP1 or later. It includes
- Instructions on how to forward email to Symantec Data Loss Prevention for detection by creating a rule using an X-Header (message header). Instructions are provided for on-premises Microsoft Exchange forwarding mode, Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online Forwarding mode, Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online Reflecting mode, and Gmail.
- A new section about "Upgrading to Symantec Data Loss Prevention 15.1 MP1 and 15.5 if you use Reflecting mode."
- Reinstatement of a note that explains that even though the validation test for adding a new connector for Microsoft Office 365 fails, you must click Save to complete the process. This applies to Office 365 Forwarding mode and Reflecting mode.
