Question How do I capture the system profile of an Apple computer to assist Symantec support in troubleshooting issues that affect Apple clients?
Use System Profiler.app to export detailed hardware and operating system information for Apple clients. This utility can be found in the /Applications/Utilities folder of the primary hard drive.
Alternatively, it can be located by clicking on the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of your display and selecting "About This Mac":
Click on the "More Info..." button:
This will launch System Profiler. From the File menu, select "Save As...":
From the "File Format:" drop down menu, select "Rich Text Format (RTF)" and save the file:
