You can add rules to a monitoring policy on the Select Rule page. You can also create, edit, and clone rules from this page.

To add a rule to a monitor policy
In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Monitoring and Alerting.
In the left pane, click Monitoring and Alerting > Monitor > Policies > Monitor Policies, and select a policy.
On the Rules tab, click the Add symbol.
Locate a rule and select it.
Use the Search field to search for a rule.
Use the View drop-down list to display rules within a specific category.
Select a rule, or use the CTRL key or SHIFT key to select multiple rules.
