Before you upgrade to ServiceDesk 7.5 MP1, you must prepare for the upgrade.
This instruction is a step in process for upgrading from ServiceDesk 7.5 to ServiceDesk 7.5 MP1.
To prepare to upgrade
Back up your ServiceDesk server.
Back up your Process Manager database.
Back up your modified ServiceDesk Projects and custom workflow projects from their location on the ServiceDesk server.
The default location is as follows:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow Designer\WorkflowProjects
One way to back up your modified ServiceDesk Projects and custom workflow projects is by checking them in to the Workflow Repository. The repository resides on the Symantec Management Platform computer.

As a best practice, Symantec recommends that you back up your automation rules and email templates.

Perform a database defragmentation of the Process Manager database.
