When I remove an Automated Partition (Embedded BootWorks Partition) from my computer via a Windows Uninstall Package then the production operating system will no longer boot correctly. It returns a problem with the NT Kernel during boot. What do I do to fix this issue?
Create a DOS level script that will copy the boot.ini file from the image file into the production operating system after the image file has been downloaded.
Once the correct boot.ini file has been FIRM copied into the production operating system then the computer should boot into the production partition correctly.
Your setup will be different so you will need to make sure that you change your script to reflect the correct settings. You will need to extract out the boot.ini file from the image file and place it in an accessible location on the Deployment Server. Here is an example script:
FIRM COPY C:\boot.ini PROD:\BOOT.INI
BWINST.EXE -MBR -U -Q
