Issue/Introduction
These Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client-only patches allow you to upgrade a client from older versions of SEP 14 to SEP 14 RU1, and from SEP 12.1 RU5 and later to SEP 14 RU1.
Resolution
Note: There are no client-only patches for the Mac client. To upgrade more than one client, or to upgrade Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, download the full installer.
Install instructions
- Under Download Files on this page, download the appropriate 32 or 64-bit .zip file to the client computer, depending on the operating system.
- Open the .zip file in Windows Explorer.
- Use the following table to determine the build number of the version of SEP that is installed on the client computer:
Version Build number 14 RU1 3752 14 MP2 2415 14 MP1 2332 14 1904
- Use the following table to determine the build number of the version of SEP that is installed on the client computer:
- In the .zip file, double-click the .exe file whose file name contains the build number of the version that is installed.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
