Please refer to Best Practices for Disaster Recovery with Symantec Endpoint Protection incase you have to revert back to original settings
Back up the embedded database using the Database Backup and Restore Wizard.
Uninstall the SEPM.
Reinstall the SEPM to another disk or another system.
Restore the embedded database using the Database Back Up and Restore Wizard.
Note: If you change the IP Address or Hostname of the system please refer to the "Restoring client communications with a database backup" section of the Best Practices for Disaster Recovery with Symantec Endpoint Protection document for restoring communication to the clients managed by the SEPM.
