How to enable Debug level logging:

Certain information will be written to the log in debug mode. When sending this information to Symantec Corporation for analysis it is probably a good idea to use a secure file transfer method or encrypt the logs to protect the information and you may want to remove confidential information that doesn't pertain to the troubleshooting.
If you are using SMTP/POP3/IMAP (neither MAPI from Exchange nor the Lotus Notes Protocol) the log will contain usernames/passwords and raw emails as they pass through the proxy. Remove it if needed.
In Symantec Encryption Desktop the "Extras/Enable Logging" needs to be checked.
The log may contain private keys.
The log will include other sensitive data
