On Solaris systems the IDS daemon stops and won't restart
The Filewatch.dat file gets corrupted when the sisidsdaemon is forced to shutdown improperly. Typically this happens when the user issues a “shutdown” command in the console.
Delete the Filewatch.dat file at: /opt/Symantec/scspagent/IDS/bin
This issue was resolved in 5.2 RU8
