When using the Management server configuration wizard to create a database for replication, the wizard hangs and does not respond for a long time. Replication eventually fails with errors. The SQL database installation fails.
In the install_log.err file, the following error can be found:
SqlPropPanel >> CheckDBConnection > Fail to connect to database. Vendor's error code is , SEPM's error code is . Error message is [Unable to get information from SQL Server: xxxxxxxxxxx]
The UDP port 1434 was not open.
TCP port 1433 and UDP port 1434 need to be opened and listening both ways from SEPM Server to Remote SQL and from Remote SQL to SEPM Server in order for the SEPM to communicate with the SQL database.
