Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager's (SEPM) Embedded database service does not start and you can't log in to the SEPM.
- You verified smc-server-0.log and found the following error:
Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory ([Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Database server not found)
- You checked err.log and found the following error:
*** ERROR *** Assertion failed: 100904 [sem5] (126.96.36.1992)
- The sem5.log may be corrupt, this can happen when the hard drive is full.
You can try to recreate the Sem5.log following the instructions in: TECH134782
If recreating the sem5.log doesn't work, perform a disaster recovery:
