When running a SQL data collection for CER (collection-evaluation-reporting) job on a CCS agent, you get the following error:
Authentication failed for '<user_credential_for_SQL_collection>' because : Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
Resolution
The error "Logon failure: the user has not been granted logon type at this computer" during a SQL data collection typically indicates that the user that CCS is using for SQL asset import and SQL data collection has not been given the 'Log on as a Batch job' to the on the agent machine, and that will cause CCS not to be able to collect any data and report the error.
