The "Symantec Management Agent Install" page was taking on average 1-3 minutes to load. In some extreme cases it takes up to 10
minutes to show UI.
Known Issue. Investigation shown, that ULM part ('Install Agent for UNIX, Linux, Mac' tab) of the page uses "sp_getMachineData" which leads to "vPushStatus" view, which executes very slowly, during to inefficient SQL.
This issue has been reported to Symantec Development team. A fix has been already produced and it is part of our next major release (currently targeted for ITMS 7.5).
A workaround is available. The following query should improve the time that takes to populate this page. This is not the final version of this query but it has some improvements that should speed the page to load in the meanwhile:
ALTER VIEW [dbo].[vPushComputers] AS SELECT DISTINCT t1.[Guid], t1.[Name], t1.[Domain], t1.[OS Name] AS [OS Name], t1.[OS Version] AS [OS Version], t1.[IP Address] AS [IPAddress], t3.[Action], t3.[Status], t5.PushErrorMsg, t5.PushDate, t3._eventTime, t5.PushHRESULT FROM vComputer t1 LEFT JOIN ( SELECT stat._ResourceGuid, stat._eventTime, stat.[Action], stat.[Status] FROM dbo.Evt_AeX_Push_Status stat JOIN ( SELECT MAX(_eventTime) as [_eventTime], _ResourceGuid FROM Evt_AeX_Push_Status GROUP BY _ResourceGuid ) AS TopIds on TopIds._eventTime = stat._eventTime and TopIds._ResourceGuid = stat._ResourceGuid ) t3 ON t1.Guid = t3._ResourceGuid LEFT JOIN ClientPush t5 ON t1.Guid = t5.ResourceGuid WHERE t1.[IP Address] != '' OR t1.[Name] != ''
