1. Verify the credentials being used are the same as the Application Identity (AppID) used for the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) login. This is the same account that was used when the SMP was installed.
2. Check that the user logged in has the correct security permissions to be reading and modifying the Software library folder
• Go to the Software Library folder that you created
• Right click on the folder and go to properties
• Go to the Security tab
• Give the ID used for the SMP login Full control through the permissions prompt.
• Apply the setting’s and click ok
3. Make sure the folder name for the software library is set to these same permissions under the share.
• Go to the Software Library folder
• Right click on the folder and go to properties
• Go to the Sharing Tab
• Give the ID used for the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) login Full control through the share prompt.
• Apply the setting’s and click ok
• It may be necessary to go to the Sharing tab, click Advanced Sharing..., then click Permissions and make sure that Full Control is enabled for the SMP AppID account and for the Agent Connectivity Credential as set in Global Agent Settings. This is found in the console under Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > Global Settings > Authentication tab.
