After installing MP1 on the directory (LDAP) master appliance, you try to install MP1 on a SSIM appliance which is registered to the master appliance.
During the installation you get an error telling you that the Master appliance does not have the required version installed.
The below message can be found in the file sima-upgrade_188.8.131.52.log on the Master appliance:
There is a an error in communicating with LDAP failure
There is a problem with updating the version string of SSIM in the LDAP on the master when running the install script of MP1.
This happening on appliances that have multiple Network Interface cards configured.
Find attached the script update_ldap_entry_support.sh that will update the version string of SSIM to 184.108.40.206 on the master appliance.
You will need to run the script as user root on the master appliance.
Afterwards you should be able to install MP1 on the appliance registered to the Master.
There will also be a fix available in SSIM 4.8.1 Patch1.
SSIM 4.8 with multiple appliances
