Red Hat and Novell Clients fail to downoad software updates.
Http error 500.19 is recorded in IIS logs on package servers when clients request a software update package.
When an alternate location on package server is selected from Novell and Red Hat Remediation Settings as shown below and any new Bulletin is staged the path on package server is wrongly created.
Each update gets assigned the following path: F:\Updates/<GUID> instead of F:\Updates\<Guid>. As a consequence the virtual directories in IIS on the package server are invalid.
This issue is resolved in Patch Management 7.6.
To fix the issue prior to 7.6 version apply the following steps:
After staging any bulletins from Patch Remediation Center subsequently run 'Check Software Update Package Intergrity' task as shown below. The task will correct the path for each update. IIS Virtual Directories path will also be corrected once the package server request for a new configuration change.
