VERITAS Cluster Server (tm) Enterprise Agents monitor specific resources within an Enterprise application, determine the status of these resources, and start or stop them according to external events to provide high availability. These tasks are common to all agents, but how they are performed depends on the resource being monitored. The Cluster Server Enterprise Agent for VERITAS Volume Replicator 3.1 starts and stops the replication of a Volume Replicator replicated volume group (RVG) and monitors the status of the replication. The agent provides high availability for Volume Replicator in a Cluster Server clustered environment.
Specific agent operations include:
Online - Starts replication of an RVG
Offline - Stops replication of an RVG
Monitor - Queries the status of the replication
