Issue/Introduction

How to change "enable" password on Edge SWG (ProxySG):
  1. Login to the Command Line Interface (CLI) and enter "Enable"
  2. In the "Configuration Terminal" mode, give the following prompt: security enable-password password

Note: password is the new enable password and can be replaced with your own password. For example:

Output from CLI prompt:

Blue Coat SG210 Series#enable
Enable Password:
Blue Coat SG210 Series#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CTRL-Z.
Blue Coat SG210 Series#(config)security enable-password admin
ok
 
Where admin is your own password.

 

 

Resolution

You can only change the enabled-mode password through the CLI. If you have lost the enable password, use the following KBs to reset it:
