Error 1606: Could Not Access Network Location %AppData%
When installing BESR or SSR the installation can fail with an Error 1606 if the User Shell Folders are incorrectly configured. This is an MS Installer error and can be resolved 2 ways:
1) Run Regedt32 Check the values under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders All values need to be valid paths either network or local to the machine If there are invalid paths, change the value to point to valid drives Close Editor and reboot System. Re-run the installation.
2) Download the FixMicrosoftFixit50356.msi from Microsoft to automatically resolve the issue.
