The Java Virtual Machine Launcher displays a message that the JVM could not be created.  How to overcome this?

When trying to launch the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), you get the error "Could not create the Java virtual machine" and the SEP Manager service may or may not start.

This can be as a result of a repair install occurring automatically or initiated manually and improper settings chosen in the configuration wizard or canceling the wizard.

Adjust the Java heap settings for the Symantec Endpoint Protection Service and console.

Repair the SEPM install via Add/Remove Programs and let the Management Server Configuration Wizard run to completion after entering valid settings.
