Deployment Solution addresses several deployment-related requirements of an enterprise such as booting computers in pre-OS stage, installing operating systems on computers, imaging computers, configuring system configurations and so on. After you install and setup Deployment Solution, you can configure the product for the preliminary tasks through the Settings > Deployment menu of the console. Most of the preliminary configurations are required to execute the deployment tasks. The deployment tasks can be configured through the Manage > Jobs and Tasks menu of the console and can also be scheduled through the console.
Deployment Solution mandates the installation of the Deployment plug-in or agent on the client computers to execute the deployment-related tasks. The installation of the Deployment plug-in or agent is rolled out as a policy by the Notification Server and must always be in Enabled state for a task or job to execute successfully on the client computer. You can install an agent or plug-in and enable or disable policies through the Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > All Agents/Plug-ins menu or the Settings > All Settings menu. In the left pane of the console, expand Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > Deployment and Migration folder and select the operating system for which you want to install a plug-in or agent.
