Where to download your Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) license (.slf) files and how to apply them.

How to obtain a DLP license file

Use the following steps to find the .slf file:

  1. Navigate to https://support.broadcom.com/ page. You will need your Broadcom Support Portal login information and be properly connected to your site ID with active support for DLP.
  2. Click on My Entitlements.
  3. Download the .slf file.

How to Apply the .slf file in the DLP console

Use the following steps to apply the license file:

  1. Log in as an administrator in the Enforce Console.
  2. Browse to System > Settings > General
  3. Select the Configure button at the top of the page.
  4. Under the License section, click the browse button.



  5. Select the .slf file you want to import and click ok.
  6. Select the save button at the top of the page.

    The following message will appear if the import is successful:


    The License section should now show the product(s), count, status, and expiration for the newly imported license. 
    To install additional licenses repeat steps 3 through 6.

  7. Restart the Symantec DLP services on the Enforce Server in order to apply the new licenses. 

 

Additional Information

Note: User privileges are not configured by default when the license is installed and may need to be modified.
