By default, Symantec Messaging Gateway treats regular expressions as case-insensitive. However, you can use a special string to toggle case sensitivity to a different mode. You can switch your regular expression query from case-insensitive to case-sensitive as many times as you want.
The strings to toggle case-sensitivity on and off are as follows:
Disables case sensitivity
Type the string (?i) into the regular expression statement and everything after that ignores case sensitivity.
Enables case sensitivity
Type the string (?-i) into the regular expression statement and everything after that is case-sensitive.
