The name of the site as it appears in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager. Site name is the highest-level container under which all features are configured and run within Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
local host name
The name of the computer that runs Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
Server data folder
The directory in which the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager places data files including backups, replicated logs, and other files. The installer creates this directory if it does not exist.
The default value for SEPM_Install is C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
For 32-bit systems (12.1.x only), it is C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
This password encrypts communication between Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and clients.
If you choose the default configuration, the system automatically generates the encryption password for you. From the summary screen, you can print or copy this information to the clipboard.
If you choose a custom configuration, you can have the system automatically generate a random password, or you can create your own password. The password can be from 6-32 alphanumeric characters.
Document this password and put it in a secure location. You cannot change or recover the password after you create the database. You must also enter this password for disaster recovery purposes if you do not have a backed-up database to restore.
