Why is the Client Task Agent unable to post data to its Task server?
"Unable to post file to server, error 8000ffff."
Cause
When verbose logging is enabled, the following types of entries can be seen:
This is caused by the Process performance counter not being enabled on the Task Server Operating System.Type=System.Exception Msg=System.InvalidOperationException: Process performance counter is disabled, so the requested operation cannot be performed.
Resolution
Article 41884, "Error 'Process performance counter is disabled, so the requested operation cannot be performed,'" provides the resolution for this issue.
