UPDATES TO SYMANTEC DATA LOSS PREVENTION 12.5 PLATFORM AND APPLICATION SUPPORT

This product alert is to let you know of recent updates to supported platforms and applications for Symantec Data Loss Prevention version 12.5.
The following items are now supported; the list includes support qualifications that have been made since August 2014. The updates are included in the most recent version of the Symantec Data Loss Prevention System Requirements and Compatibility Guide, published at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH221192 (with a date of 1 October 2014 on the cover):
Support for Firefox 30 through 32 (for Endpoint monitoring).
Support for Active Directory 2012.
Support for Single Server Installations on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5.
Support for Discover scans of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2.
Support for Windows 8.1 Update 2 Enterprise.
Support for Discover scans of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012.
Support for Napatech driver version 4.26c.
Support for Single Server installations on Microsoft Windows Server 2012.
In addition, Data Loss Prevention now supports monitoring of data transfer to Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) mobile devices. Also, email monitoring of Lotus Notes has been removed from the list of deprecated items. Support for MTP and the list of deprecated items are documented in the v12.5.x Release Notes at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH222019.
