ProxySG appliances (when SSL interception is enabled for Google and/or Google safe search is enabled)
Web Security Service (Threatpulse / Cloud) in addition to on premise ProxySGs appliances.
When navigating to a Google property (such as
www.youtube.com), Internet Explorer returns, "
page cannot be displayed".
Note: This error displays after November 10, 2015. Prior to this date, all of the above mentioned services worked normally.
This only affects Internet Explorer; all other browsers work correctly.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, Microsoft released a security patch, which causes the issue. Ffollow the registry modification steps found at the
Known issues in this security update section at beginning of the following Microsoft article:
IMPORTANT: Make sure you use the
DisableClientExtendedMasterSecret registry setting.
Blue Coat has verified that this resolves the issue. However, this is only a workaround until a final solution/conclusion is provided by Blue Coat. This issue has been fixed and will be included in an upcoming releases of SGOS and Cloud.
The following releases contain the fix for this issue:
ProxySG appliances: Install SGOS 18.104.22.168 (released on Nov 25th 2015).
ProxySG appliances: Install SGOS 22.214.171.124 (released on Dec 2nd 2015).
Note: The fix for this issue will also be included in upcoming Cloud releases. The above items will be updated after that occurs.
