Host Categorization component on SSL Visibility appliances version 3.8+
The Blue Coat Global Intelligence Network that maintains the Cloud services responsible for servicing the optional Host Categorization functionality on the SSL Visibility appliances will be upgrading their root certificate on Feb 2, 2016 as the previous certificate is due to expire then. Following this change, the Host Categorization functionality on SSL Visibility appliances will continue to operate without issue. However, the devices will not be able to update the Host Categorization database at this point. This is due to the fact that the root CA embedded in the SSL Visibility appliance is now out-of-date and will need to be updated to the new certificate. Systems not using the Host Categorization functionality are not affected by this issue.
The following releases now available on the
Blue Touch Online (BTO) portal address the issue:
SSL Visibility 3.8.6-12
SSL Visibility 22.214.171.124
Customers are advised to upgrade to the release corresponding to the code branch deployed in your environment.
