UPDATE OCTOBER 5, 2017: Hot fixes are available for both 14.6 MP2 and 15.0.
A critical issue has been identified that affects Symantec Data Loss Prevention 14.6 Maintenance Pack 2 deployments of Network Prevent for Email and Cloud Prevent for Microsoft Office 365 Exchange. The same issue also affects Network Prevent for Email 15.0. In brief, emails in which the body contains an unusual sequence of periods (“.”) may not be processed correctly, which can cause the incorrect application of response rules and incident generation.
A hot fix addresses this issue. The hot fix for Data Loss Prevention 14.6 MP2 (Hotfix_14.6.0201.01001.zip) and for 15.0 is available at FileConnect.
All users of Network Prevent for Email as well as Cloud Prevent for Microsoft Office 365 Exchange should deploy the hot fix as soon as possible.
