Symantec announces the general availability of Symantec Critical System Protection (SCSP) version 7.2.0 MP1. Version 7.2.0 MP1 contains product enhancements, and resolves some important defects.
Enhancements made in 7.2.0 MP1
Windows events logging improvement: Improvements have been made on Windows events logging. As a result, you have a better and lucid experience of Windows policy creation. For more information about events, see About events.
USB device control setting improvements: The Device Control Rules panel in the Windows prevention policies has been improved. As a result, you can now block all USB devices except keyboards and mouse with greater ease. For more information about defining the USB device control rules in a Windows prevention policy, see USB device control.
Extended Windows agent platform support: In addition to the existing supported Windows agent platforms, SCSP 7.2.0 MP1 supports Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Version 1709). For more information about the supported Windows agent platforms, see Supported platforms for Windows agent.
Issues resolved in 7.2.0 MP1
The following issue has been resolved in SCSP 7.2.0 MP1:
In SCSP 7.2.0, if you select the Block External Storage Devices option under Global Policy Options, access to the external mass storage devices is not blocked.
