Enhancements made in the release
The enhancements made in version 5.4.1 of the Symantec ICSP product are as follows:
Notification enhancements: In some earlier versions of ICSP, the existing SNMP traps and email notifications features failed to provide alert notifications from the scanner station. Version 5.4.1 resolves this issue. You can now configure SNMP traps or email notifications and receive alert notifications. For more information, see the "Configuring notifications" topic in the attached PDF version of the ICSP 5.4.1 documentation.
Software update enhancements: In earlier versions of ICSP, the existing proxy server configuration did not support the downloading of certain definition file updates. Version 5.4.1 resolves this issue. You can now configure a proxy server to download the available definition file updates. For more information, see the "Configuring the Symantec ICSP software updates" topic in the attached PDF version of the ICSP 5.4.1 documentation.
Additionally, ICSP 5.4.1 resolves important defects which improve scanning performance, and the overall quality of the product.
Note: From ICSP version 5.4.0 onwards, the NTP server configuration does not function. This is a known issue which will be resolved in an upcoming release.
