Symantec announces the general availability of Symantec Critical System Protection (CSP) version 8.0.0 MP1. Version 8.0.0 MP1 resolves some important defects.
Issues resolved in 8.0.0 MP1
The following issues have been resolved in CSP 8.0.0 MP1:
In CSP 8.0.0, performance issues exist on agent systems when any prevention policy is applied except for the null policy.
In the CSP 8.0 Streamlined Whitelisting Prevention policy, if you apply filters using the advanced search option, make any changes in the filtered result (for example, you changed the profile of an application rule) and then remove the filters, records other than what is filtered are not displayed and are not recoverable.
CSP 8.0.0 was unable to run GSI script on Windows Server 2016.
By default, the CSP 8.0.0 Web console displays the whitelisted applications in batches of 10 per list. You can use the pagination arrows to move across lists. If you click on the pagination arrows and attempt to assign whitelisted applications as trusted updaters on the second or subsequent lists, the Web console automatically takes you back to the first list, and the changes are not saved.
While setting up the network control rules in the Streamlined Whitelisting Prevention policy, the "/" character is not allowed for specifying a remote subnet, IP or host address using Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) notation.
If you have set up the CSP 7.2 MP2 management server and have configured it to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition, attempts to use the auto-sandboxing feature for an application fails to create the sandbox and the "Application Profile Events not found" error message is displayed.
