About web browser configuration changes for Smart Connect
To use the Smart Connect service, modify the web browser to do the following: use the local Smart Connect agent as a proxy for all Internet traffic, and bypass the proxy for Intranet/LAN traffic.
At a minimum, the browser must bypass:
Any URL that is on the corporate LAN
The agent works as expected if you only send to it the traffic that is destined for the Internet. Do not send to the agent any traffic for your corporate LAN. If this setting is misconfigured, it is possible that everything works correctly when the user is 'OnLAN'. However, when 'OffLAN' the user is unable to connect to any Intranet/LAN resources, even when connected using a VPN.
