A predefined requirement in a Host Integrity policy checks that the client computer runs any of several types of applications such as: antivirus, antispyware, firewall, and so on.
You determine the particular application, such as specific patches for the Windows 7 operating system. You then specify the path where the client computers should get the patch.
To add predefined requirements to a Host Integrity policy
In the console, open a Host Integrity policy.
On the Host Integrity policy page, click Requirements > Add.
In the Add Requirement dialog box, click the Select requirement drop-down list, select a predefined requirement, and then click OK.
For version 12.1.x, click Mac only if your Mac clients have installed the Symantec Network Access Control On-Demand Client. Symantec Network Access Control has reached End of Life, and is not supported for use with Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.x.
Configure the settings and remediation options for the requirement, and then click OK.
