Query management provides the functionality to export query results. When the scope is defined, the query fetches results for all objects that are included in the scope. To get only the required records, use a filter. When filtered query results are exported in the XML format, the XML file provides the number of Records Accepted and the number of Records Rejected. The tiered dashboards of Control Compliance Suite use this information.
To export query results
To get the Queries page, on the Control Compliance Suite home page, point to Manage, and then click Queries.
In the queries table in List View, select a query and do one of the following:
Right-click the query, and then click View Results.
On Common tasks, click View Results.
On View Results, click Export.
On Export Settings, in the Format field, enter the format for the export.
To enter the path, click the button alongside the Path field, and then on Browse for Folder, select a folder and click OK.
In the File Name field, enter a name for the file to be exported.
For export formats CSV, Excel and SQL, select the Expand list items into extra rows check box to export the list items in query results into individual rows per list item.
If you do not select the Expand list items into extra rows check box, the list items are exported in a single cell separated by a newline.
On Information, click OK.
You can edit a query from the Queries workspace preview pane.
