Symantec Mobility Suite can integrate with RabbitMQ to improve task brokering performance. After you install and configure your RabbitMQ cluster, RabbitMQ integration with Symantec Mobility: Suite is made during an upgrade or new installation.
Migrating to RabbitMQ during a Mobility Suite upgrade
Use the following steps to enable RabbitMQ during a Mobility Suite upgrade:
Install and configure your RabbitMQ cluster. ( )
Upgrade your Mobility Suite.
mount -o loop <Mobilityfilename>.iso /mnt/iso
where Mobilityfilename is the name of the ISO file. For example:
mount -o loop symantec_mobility_redhat5_x86_64_R#.#.###_###.iso
where R#.#.###_### is the ISO version number
Run ./setup.sh You shortly see the Symantec Mobility Manager main menu. Select Upgrade Existing Installation.
The upgrade of your Mobility Suite begins. You see services stopped, needed packages installed and services restarted.
If any problems occur during the upgrade process, access /usr/local/nukona and review the App Center-setup.log file for errors.
After the upgrade has successfully completed, run ./setup/sh again. When you are presented with the Symantec Mobility Manager main menu, select Tools.
Select Add RabbitMQ to Bootstrap.
You see options for RabbitMQ Host, Port, User Password and Virtual Host. Provide the required information for each option. You revert back to the screen show below, after each option is completed. Once information for all five RabbitMQ options is complete, select Update Bootstrap Config to complete the migration to RabbitMQ.
