If your organization uses two-factor authentication, the second factor requires a security code that you access using Symantec VIP Access app on a mobile device. However, you may have an occasion in which the mobile device on which you installed the app and registered with VIP is unavailable. Symantec Mobility: Suite and VIP Access provide an out-of-band workflow that lets you access to Mobility Manager and the Admin Hub using a temporary security code.
Logging onto Mobility Manager and the Admin Hub out-of-band
Access Mobility Manager or Admin Hub.
Type your IDP authentication credentials and click Sign In.
On the Sign In Request screen, click Use a security code.
On the Sign in with your VIP Credential page, click Don't have a security code?.
Click Continue to confirm your email address.
This address is the email address linked to your IDP user name.
Check your email account for a message from VIP and open it.
If this message does not appear in your inbox, check your junk mail folder.
TIP: You may want to add this address to your approved recipients list so that future email messages appear in your inbox.
Copy the temporary VIP security code from the email message and paste it in the Security Code box on the Confirm your Identity page and click Submit.
The email message indicates how long the temporary security code is valid. If you do not use the temporary security code before it expires, you must request a new one.
