Symantec Mobility: Workforce Apps ("Workforce Apps") provides enterprises with the essential functions to provision and manage a suite of secure workplace mobile apps. Three secure apps form the core of the Workforce Apps:
Work Mail- a secure EAS email client
Work Web- a secure web browser
Work File- a secure file sharing and collaboration app (requires a separate installation)
You use the Symantec Mobility Manager (admin console) to send and track user invites, establish and maintain app policies, entitlements, and compile reports about app usage and user access.
The Workforce Apps Mobility Manager (admin console) displays a subset of the functions found in Symantec Mobility: Suite. You can upgrade your Workforce Apps installation to add MDM, MAM, and Threat Protection capabilities at any time. For upgrade information, contact your Symantec Sales representative. For an overview of Symantec Mobility, visit the Symantec Mobility website at http://www.symantec.com/mobility/

Important Workforce Apps licensing note:
Prior to installing the Workforce Apps license, your installation is in Trial License mode and all functions are available. During the trial period, you can use any of the functions in Symantec Mobility: Suite, including MAM, MDM, and media content provisioning. When you install your Workforce Apps License, functionality becomes restricted according to the preceding table. However, any device and app policies, app uploads and mobile security configurations you've made are retained. Once the Workforce Apps license is applied, you cannot change the behavior of policies and configurations you created while in Trial License mode.
Symantec Mobility: Workforce Apps can be installed on-premises or provisioned as a service (SaaS). If you choose to install the suite on-premises, follow the instructions provided in the Symantec Mobility: Suite On-premises Installation Guide. If you choose the SaaS version of the suite, you can start administrating the product right away.
