You can define trusted domain access for your device users for the following:
Trusted Email Domains - Specify a list of trusted email domains.
If your device users send emails to recipients whose email domain is not included in the list of trusted email domains, they receive a warning.
This option is useful for limiting your device users to sending emails within a corporate domain only.
Trusted Web Domains - Specify a list of trusted web domains.
When your device users download documents from these web domains, these documents are treated like managed documents. Managed documents are opened by managed or unmanaged apps. You define which apps can open managed documents within the Device Restrictions profile within your device policy.
Your device user's access to web addresses not contained in the trusted web domain list, is not prevented. The trusted web domain list defines any documents downloaded from these domains are treated as "managed" for the purpose of determining what apps can open them.
The steps below detail how to configure what apps can open managed documents:
From your Mobility Manager console, access Policies and Rules > Policy list and select an existing device policy or click New Device Policy.
Scroll down to the Device settings section and click New within the Device restrictions profile.
Within the Device functionality section are included the following options:
Allow Open In From Managed to Unmanaged - When this option is unchecked, documents in managed apps and accounts will only open in other managed apps and account.
Allow Open In From Unmanaged to Managed - When unchecked, documents in unmanaged apps and accounts will only open in other unmanaged apps and accounts.
Configuring trusted domains
Access Settings > Policies and Rules > Policy list from the Mobility Manager console.
Select a device policy or click the new icon to create new device policy. The following screen appears:
Scroll down to the Device settings section.
Select Managed domain
The following page appears:
Within the Email domains or Web domains field, enter the desired domain name. Click Add domain to include this domain in the trusted domain list. You can add as many trusted domains, for email domains or web domains, as needed.
