Your Customer ID is a unique identifier that is generated within the Mobile App Risk Detection Console. You are required to add your Customer ID into the App Risk Detection Android library AND\ OR App Risk Detection iOS framework when building your app. This supports the upload and identification of telemetry data from mobile devices running your apps, to your Mobile App Risk Detection Console. Without the Customer ID embedded into the framework or library, telemetry data is not populated into your Mobile App Risk Detection Console.
Logging into your Symantec Mobile App Protection Console and retrieving your Customer ID
You initially receive an email invite with instructions to activate your account. Once activated, your account is used to login to your Symantec Mobile App Protection Console instance. When you login to your Symantec Mobile App Protection Console for the first time with your activated account credentials, your App Protection Console is at zero state. It remains at this state until you integrate your Android or iOS apps with the Mobile App Risk Detection iOS framework or Android library that includes your Customer ID. Once the integration into your apps occurs, you deploy the app to your customer's devices. Telemetry data is uploaded and you see active state changes in your Symantec Mobile App Protection Console.
You obtain your Customer ID by following these steps:
Login to your Mobile App Protection console instance. You see the default Console view.
Click the drop-down button located next your account name at the extreme right and select Profile:
You see your account profile. The Customer ID field is one of the fields included in your profile.
The example below shows the account profile for the account, including the associated Customer ID.
