To effectively use groups in SEP Cloud, consider the properties of the groups and the structure of your environment. Groups are effective when they contain users with the same security and access needs. In most cases, users from one department need access to the same network resources, and follow the same security restrictions.
For example, users in the Sales department need to easily connect to non-secure environments and share data with customers. Users in the Finance department handle sensitive information and require strict access controls and security policies. Each of the described departments should have a separate group.
Group structure recommendations:
Create a group for each user role that requires a different security policy.
Create a group for each server role that requires a different security policy.
