To protect a device from threats, it must be enrolled in SEP Cloud. You can monitor and manage all enrolled devices in the SEP Cloud console. All device types that your subscription supports can be enrolled: phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and servers.
Both end-users and administrators can enroll their own devices, which can be company-owned or personal. Administrators can take advantage of other enrollment methods as well:
The package can be distributed to other employees so that they can enroll their own devices using the package.
The devices are assigned directly to the group specified when the package is created. They can be assigned to a user later if appropriate.
The MDM service isn't supported when you use an installation package. To get benefit from the MDM-based features, such as lock device, wipe device, you need to use the self-enrollment method to enroll the devices.
For Windows servers:
Servers are assigned to the group that is specified when the package is created.
Servers are never assigned to a user.
In scenarios where the access to public app stores, such as Google Play is restricted, you can enroll your Android devices using an application APK file.
