Symantec Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) lets you access incident and event data and perform remediation tasks using APIs and through integration with third-party applications. To secure ATP data, these integrations require that you generate an OAuth 2 client ("OAuth client"). The OAuth client authorizes third-party applications to communicate with ATP.
See the documentation for the third-party applications and API for information about how to register the OAuth client.
You must have Admin rights to generate an OAuth client. Only users with the Admin role that created the OAuth client can view the Client ID and Client Secret. Other Admin roles can only view the Client ID. Only Active Directory Admin users who log into ATP Manager using the NETBIOS format (e.g., SYMC\john_doe) can generate OAuth tokens and view the client secret.
