Error code: 42002
Error text: Decomposer Library: could not read MDS
Affected module: Brightmail_engine
Product version: Symantec Brightmail Gateway 9.0
The Scanner cannot access the message when it attempts to scan its content.
Following are the conditions that can cause this error:
Memory or disk space is full.
A temporary file being used by the Scanner is inadvertently deleted.
To resolve this error
Examine the log for other error messages that may indicate memory or disk issues.
Resolve the memory issues or the disk issues.
To resolve memory and disk space issues, see Solution maps. Follow Solutions 1 and 2.
Restart the Brightmail Engine.
The following is a sample of the error message as it appears in the bmserver_log.
