Downloading IE Layer Definition Files

The IE Layer Deinition Files are used with the Layer Definition Tool to create IE Virtual Software Layers.

To download the IE Layer Definition Files

  1. Download the ldf file for the version of IE you want to package.

    A reference table for IE ldf files is below.

  2. Gather any of the prerequisites that are required for the ldf file. For example, some versions require you to download a Microsoft Service Pack to extract the necessary files.
