Error code: 57008
Error text: <time><severity><host><type> Gatekeeper module: Failed to extract text for attachment dictionary scanning.

Product version: Symantec Brightmail Gateway 9.0
Cause: When Symantec Messaging Gateway fails to extract text from an attachment, an error is logged. Since Verity is used to extract text, this error most likely indicates a problem with the text. File types include:
failure to extract text from PDF file.
failure to extract text from Hyperian Piller file. (Piller is a financial software product.)
In some cases the error may be a result of bmserver crash, as Verity uses up CPU while processing large Piller files.
Resolution: Disable non-plain text scanning.
To disable non-plain text scanning
Click Protocols > SMTP > Settings.
Under Content Filtering Settings, uncheck Enable scanning of non-plain text attachments for words in dictionaries
