IP Freq module: tally table at $percent_full% capacity ($entries entries, max $max_entries)
Error code: 47013
Error text: IP Freq module: tally table at $percent_full% capacity ($entries entries, max $max_entries)
Where $max_entries is the maximum number of entries this list holds, $entries is the number of entries currently in the list, and $percent_full is a percentage representation of how full the list is.
Affected module: brightmail_engine
Product version: Symantec Brightmail Gateway 9.0 and later versions
The scanning engine maintains a list of all the IP addresses that have recently connected to your network to send messages. The Connection Classification feature, Virus Attack, and directory harvest attack policies use this list. This list is limited in size, so this log entry warns you when the list is getting full.
This log warning is to notify you when the list reaches 70%, 80%, and 90% of the capacity. This log warning also appears when the last available space in the list is used.
When the list is completely full and the engine needs to add a new entry, it replaces the entry that has been idle longest. If a Virus Attack policy or a directory harvest attack policy currently blocks the IP address, the following log entry appears:
IP Freq module: ip $ip_address penalty dropped prematurely.
No action is required on this error, as it does not affect message filtering. None of the values that are mentioned in this log entry are configurable.
The following is an example of the error message as it appears in the bmserver_log:
 IP Freq module:
tally table at 90% capacity (90 entries, max 100).
