You can click the link, Save the next steps to save the next steps for future reference. The details appear in a browser, after you specify the location to save the next steps.
The following table contains the next steps that are displayed while installing CCS components for the first time, or upgrading existing CCS or ESM deployments.

Generate certificates for deploying CCS Managers |
Generate certificates for secure communication between the CCS Manager and the CCS Application Server. Create certificates for CCS Managers using the Certificate Management Console located at Start > All Programs > Symantec Corporation > Symantec Control Compliance Suite > Certificate Management Console. You need to import the certificate while installing the CCS Manager. For more information on creating certificates, see the About creating certificates section in the Symantec Control Compliance Suite 11.0 Planning and Deployment Guide. |

Install CCS Manager |
CCS Manager is the interface to the programs that do the actual work of collecting data from the network. CCS Manager is a required component to complete the CCS deployment in your network. You can install the CCS Managers using the CCS Manager link in the demo shield, or using the Setup file located inside the CCS_Manager folder in the product media. For more information on installing the CCS Manager, see the Symantec Control Compliance Suite 11.0 Planning and Deployment Guide. |

Register CCS Manager |

Export SPN configuration script |
Export a batch file containing the Service Principal Names' setup script. Provide this script file to the domain administrator to set the Service Principal Names. You can also export the batch file containing the Service Principal Names' (SPN) configuration script using the VerifyDelegation utility . The VerifyDelegation utility is located inside the folder <CCS_Installation>\Application Server. Use the following command to export the SPN configuration script: VerifyDelegation.exe /export=<scriptfilepath>. |

Upgrade Data Processing Service |
Upgrade your Data Processing Service installations to CCS Managers. If your existing deployment contains Data Processing Services, upgrade the Data Processing Services to CCS Managers. You can upgrade to CCS Managers using the CCS Manager link in the demo shield, or using the Setup file located inside the CCS_Manager folder in the product media. Upgrade the CCS Application Server and Data Processing Service. The Data Processing Service will be upgraded to CCS Manager. You can upgrade the Data Processing Services to CCS Managers using the CCS Manager link in the demo shield, or using the Setup file located inside the CCS_Manager folder in the product media. Import Message Based Content |
Run the importcontent utility to import message based content - Security Update (SU) and Application modules to the CCS Manager. The import content utility is located at <InstallationDirectory>\bin\<platformfolder>.
