After you upgrade the CCS components, you must migrate the databases to the latest database schema.
The migration of the CCS databases can be performed using the utility, MigrationUtility.exe. This utility is located in the <installation directory>/Symantec/CCS/Reporting and Analytics/ folder of the installed product.
Based on the amount of data that you want to migrate, the time taken to perform data migration and generate the mandate and policy metrics can vary.
You are prompted to run the CCS Data Migration utility after the upgrade process. You can upgrade the reporting and analytics components from CCS 10.0 or CCS 10.5.1 to CCS Suite 11.0. If your existing CCS version is 10.5, you must first upgrade to 10.5.1, before upgrading to CCS 11.0. Data migration is not required if you are upgrading from CCS 10.5.1 to CCS 11.0.
The CCS Data Migration utility extracts the SQL connection details from the Application Server and shuts down the Application Server Service. After the migration is complete, the Application Server Service is automatically restarted.
