You can update existing assets or import secondary assets using the asset import in CCS.

To achieve this business objective, you need to do the following:
Select an asset type
Select the source from the following list:
CSV File
Database or any other data source using ODBC connection
Directory Server
Network
Select assets from the specified source
Only selected assets get updated from the given source.
Importing secondary assets
To achieve this business objective, you need to do the following:
Select any of the following asset type:
IIS Virtual Directory
IIS Website
Oracle Configured Database
SQL Database
SQL Server
UNIX File
UNIX Group
Windows Directory
Windows File
Windows Group
Windows Share
Select Network as the source.
Select the applicable assets from the specified source.
Secondary assets get imported.
Updating existing assets from the network
To achieve this business objective, you need to do the following:
Select any of Windows machine or UNIX machine asset type.
Select Network as the source.
Select the applicable assets from the specified source.
Assets get updated from Network. In this case, assets are imported from Directory Server (LDAP). For instance, IP addresses are updated only for the scoped assets.
